Dr. Milan Lassiter has the experience of over 20 years of private and group practice. He has extensive experience with severe degenerative conditions of the spine, such as herniated or bulged discs, spinal stenosis, and severe degenerative disc disease. He spent a 2 year fellowship in one of the largest non-surgical disc decompression therapy centers in NJ. The facility had medical doctors, chiropractors and physical therapists, all working on cases together in one office. This unique experience made him an expert in severe back and neck problems, such as conditions which radiate pain down the arm or leg.
Dr. Lassiter attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa and graduated in 1998. A chiropractic education involves a five academic-year course of study and clinical training. He is licensed under the NJ and VA Medical Boards. Dr. Lassiter has passed the board exam to become a chiropractic sports physician, as well as to become certified as a CSCS (Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist). Along with being an expert in spinal disc pathologies, he is a sports chiropractor who works with many local athletes and athletes from all of the VCU sports teams.
He often combines chiropractic techniques along with unique soft tissue therapies, being certified in a number of specialized soft tissue techniques (Active Release Technique, Graston Technique, trigger point dry needling). He has also brought cutting-edge therapies to Richmond, such as The ATM2 (Active Therapeutic Movement), Radial Pulse ‘shockwave’ therapy, the REPEX physical therapy table, and Class IV Laser therapy. These techniques are either unavailable or hard to find elsewhere in the Richmond area.
